Marquette ranked a Princeton Review ‘Best College’ for 2027, No. 1 for community service for third-straight year

The Princeton Review this week released its annual best college rankings. Marquette was again named on the list of the “Best 392 Colleges.” The university is also featured in several sub-categories, notably ranked No. 1 in the country for engagement in community service for the third year in a row.

In total, Marquette was ranked in the following categories:

  • Best Value Colleges
  • Best Midwest
  • 1st for Most Engaged in Community Service
  • 14th for Best Schools for Internships among private schools
  • 14th in Best-Run Colleges
  • 17th in Most Religious Students
  • 20th in Best Health Services
  • 21st in Students Love Their School Teams

“The colleges we profile in The Best 392 Colleges vary by type, size, local, and campus culture. In our opinion, each one offers an academically outstanding undergraduate education,” said Rob Franek, lead author of the book and editor-in-chief at The Princeton Review. “They are truly a select group: they comprise only about 14% of America’s nearly 2,800 four-year colleges.”

The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in the book hierarchically, from 1 to 390. However, the book has 50 categories of ranking lists. Each list names the top 25 schools (of those in the book) in its category. The ranking lists are entirely based on The Princeton Review’s surveys of 172,000 students at the 392 schools in the book. The 98-question survey asked students to rate their colleges on dozens of topics and report on their campus experiences at them.
