Whether you’re a student, faculty member or staff member, one of the easiest ways to stay connected to campus is through Marquette Today.
Marquette Today is Marquette University’s primary communications and storytelling platform, bringing together the news, events, people and accomplishments that shape life on campus. A daily email newsletter is delivered Monday through Friday to your university email address during the academic year, highlighting important announcements, upcoming events, research, student experiences, awards, achievements and feature stories from across the university.
Marquette Today consistently reaches a broad university audience. Newsletter open rates are more than twice the industry average, and the Marquette Today website draws more than 1 million views each year.
The public Marquette Today website serves as the home for all content and includes topic- and college-specific pages, making it easy to explore stories that match your interests. While the daily newsletter highlights the most important updates, the website offers additional stories, feature articles and community news that provide a deeper look at the people, research and initiatives shaping Marquette.
The site also features a campus events calendar that can be filtered by audience, topic, college or school, helping you discover opportunities to get involved throughout the year. Each event has a landing page, which prominently displays its date, time, location and registration link. Users can add events to their work or personal calendars in two clicks on Outlook, Apple and Google platforms.
Bookmark the Marquette Today site, watch your inbox for the daily newsletter and visit often to stay informed, engaged and connected throughout the academic year.
How to submit to Marquette Today
Marquette Today submissions can be made by staff, faculty and students via this form, which is available on the Marquette Today website (linked in the dropdown menu) or by clicking the “Submit News Online” button found at the bottom of every Marquette Today newsletter.
Is my submission a fit for Marquette Today?
The audience for Marquette Today is first and foremost an internal one – faculty, staff and students. Given the broad audience, items included must be applicable to most of campus (i.e., department-specific events or events only open to a small group would not be a fit for Marquette Today and should be promoted via other communication channels).
Indicate in your submission if your content is more relevant to faculty and staff or students, or relevant to both audiences.
Only Marquette-related news is publicized via Marquette Today. Events must be hosted/co-hosted by an official Marquette group or organization to be included in Marquette Today. Student groups can submit events that are open to the greater campus community.
Complete submission guidelines are available on the Marquette Today website. With questions, email Jack Goods, communication specialist in the Office of Marketing and Communication.
