National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, Sept. 17. Marquette students are encouraged to be civically engaged. One way to do so is to vote in federal, state and local elections. Be sure to visit the Marquette Vote website to learn if you are eligible to vote in Wisconsin and how to register to vote. If you registered to vote in previous elections but your address has changed since the last election, even within a residence hall, you are required to register to vote at your new address.
The Marquette community is invited to celebrate democracy with Milwaukee Public Library at its National Voter Registration Day Mini-Carnival Sept. 17 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Test your knowledge of voting and the electoral process, vote in a mock election, and take a turn at our prize wheel for some fun swag.
Milwaukee Public Library is located at 814 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions about voting, eligibility, and access to the polls, including Marquette’s University’s Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach. For more information on the National Voter Registration Day Mini-Carnival, visit the Milwaukee Public Library’s event page.
The 2024 General Election is on Tuesday. Nov. 5. For more information on what’s on the ballot this November, visit My Vote Wisconsin.
Students planning to vote absentee in their home state or from Wisconsin in their home district should contact their local municipality or check for further information here.
