Cara Hardin, J.D., will serve as Marquette University’s acting Title IX coordinator while the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion conducts a search for the next Title IX coordinator. She succeeds Kristen Kreple who recently left the university.
Hardin has served as Title IX deputy coordinator since 2015. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Indiana and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. Before joining the Title IX Office at Marquette, Hardin served as special counsel in the Ball State University Office of General Counsel, advising on employment-related matters and Title IX compliance. Hardin previously served as a deputy prosecuting attorney assigned exclusively to the prosecution of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking and crimes against children. Hardin began her legal career practicing employment law at a large midwestern law firm.
