On Thursday afternoon, faculty, staff and students gathered virtually for another COVID-19 Town Hall, which focused on Marquette’s Step 4 Recovery Plan.
Dr. Xavier Cole, vice president for student affairs, moderated the event. Rev. Jim Voiss, S.J., vice president for mission and ministry, offered an invocation.
President Michael R. Lovell shared opening remarks in which he recognized that these past few months have been difficult for the Marquette community. He thanked the faculty and staff who have worked tirelessly this summer on the university’s reopening plan and acknowledged that this upcoming academic year will look different than any other. “On behalf of the administration, and the students and families you serve everyday, I want to thank all the individuals who have dedicated thousands of hours toward preparing our campus to open this fall,” President Lovell said.
Various members of the Response Team then offered updates on Marquette’s recovery planning process and responded to questions. The event was recorded and is available via YouTube.
The Marquette community is encouraged to frequently visit the university’s dedicated coronavirus website to learn more about each of the response team sub-committees. Responses to all questions that were asked during the town hall will also be shared on the FAQs page.
Faculty, staff and students with additional questions should complete the online form on the COVID website or contact the appropriate COVID-19 Response Team lead, listed on the university’s coronavirus website.
