The Marquette University Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Student Chapter has received the 2025-26 SHRM Superior Merit Award. This award recognizes outstanding chapters and their work supporting impactful activities and projects. Fewer than 10 percent of all chapters are recognized each year. Selections are based on operations, chapter programming, professional development of members, support of the human resource profession and SHRM engagement.
“The members of our SHRM student chapters represent the next generation of HR leaders, and their passion, talent, and commitment are vital to the future of our profession,” said SHRM President and CEO Johnny C. Taylor, Jr. “The accomplishments of Marquette reflect the innovation, leadership and dedication that will shape tomorrow’s workplaces. I applaud their success and ability to drive innovative programming, professional development and a deeper interest in HR.”
Marquette’s SHRM Student Chapter is open to students across campus interested in exploring human resources. Benefits include networking opportunities, industry events, resume review, job search support and professional development. Notably, the Marquette SHRM Career Development program actively connects students with employers in the field. Benefitting hundreds of students to date, the program encourages lasting connections that support students at every stage of their academic and professional journey.
