As federal food-aid benefits face potential interruption, Marquette students impacted have a vital resource on campus in the Backpack Program.
The Backpack Program is Marquette’s on-campus food pantry providing groceries and essential toiletries to any Marquette student who is having difficulty accessing affordable, nutritious food and other essential household items.
After registering in person, students are able to shop for a few days-worth of groceries including fresh produce, frozen meat and non-perishables and additional personal products. There are no requirements to use this free and confidential resource, and no student will be turned away.
To register, please visit the Backpack Program (housed in Iggy’s Market in Holthusen Hall) during its open hours:
- Monday: 10 a.m. to noon
- Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
