- Catching Fire Breakfast with Trustee Derek Tyus, AMU Monaghan Ballroom | 7:45 a.m.
- Join the Faber Center for a special Catching Fire Breakfast featuring an interview with Marquette University Board of Trustee, Derek Tyus, the newly appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Versiti, Inc. Derek, a Marquette University graduate, will share insights from his career, including his leadership roles at West Bend Mutual Insurance and Northwestern Mutual, as well as his community involvement.

- In 2024, Marquette handed out it’s inaugural Midwest Jesuit Province Ignatian Educators of Distinction Award to alumna and faculty member Dr. Marija Bjegovich-Weidman, Nurs ’23, ’95. The award recognized Bjegovich-Weidman’s incorporation of Jesuit values into her teaching. Each Mission Week, honorees will be invited to a luncheon to recognize their achievement at Marquette.
Marquette faculty and staff are deeply committed to the Jesuit Catholic educational mission. The designation of Ignatian Educator serves as both a campus and public recognition of an individual’s dedication to and proficiency in advancing the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence.

- Colum McCann keynote, Varsity Theatre | 4 p.m.
- Colum McCann, internationally bestselling author and co-founder of Narrative 4, will share his powerful insights on hope and storytelling, themes that transcend borders and build empathy across communities. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the National Book Award, and will soon deliver remarks at the Vatican for Pope Francis’s Jubilee Year of 2025.
- Care and Cuisine, AMU Monaghan Ballroom | 6 p.m.
- Favorite foods carry so many different meanings and are part of many important moments in life. Favorite recipes from student organization officers will be featured at this free dinner. Sample cuisine from different cultures, meet new people, and explore how care for others is expressed through food and in so many other different ways. No RSVP is needed.
