Part-time Faculty Teaching Excellence Award nominations due Monday, Nov. 16

In 2024, the Office of the Provost created a new teaching excellence award to honor part-time faculty. The Part-time Faculty Teaching Excellence Award honors one part-time faculty member annually who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to student growth, development and welfare through effective teaching and student learning. The award will be presented at the annual Père Marquette Dinner in May and will include a monetary award.

All part-time faculty at Marquette University who have taught at least five courses within the past five years (by January 2026) and are teaching in the 2025-26 academic year are eligible.

Nominations can be submitted by any faculty member (part-time or full-time) and presidents of MUSG, GSO and registered student organizations and academic honor societies.

Nominate a faculty member using this online form. More information and award criteria are available on the Part-time Faculty Teaching Excellence Award website.

Please reach out to Cindy Petrites at cynthia.petrites@marquette.edu in the Office of the Provost with any questions.
