As part of Marquette’s ongoing efforts to enhance security, reduce maintenance and support costs, and provide user-friendly tools for our community, IT Services is transitioning to new VPN and multifactor authentication services in April. The new services – Fortinet Forticlient VPN and Microsoft Authenticator – are now available.
GlobalProtect VPN and Duo MFA will be retired on Monday, April 7; students, faculty and staff will need both apps until that date but are encouraged to download and configure the new tools in advance of the transition.
Users can safely remove Duo and GlobalProtect from their mobile devices on April 8. If you need assistance, contact the IT Services TechSquad at techsquad@marquette.edu or (414) 288-7799.
The university’s transition to new providers is in support of Marquette’s Securing Our Future initiative and in alignment with the healthy campus theme of the 2031 strategic plan, Guided By Mission, Inspired To Change.
IT Services recognizes migrating to new services can be challenging and is committed to making this process as smooth as possible.
