Andy Schneider, acting dean of admissions, has been promoted to the permanent role, effective immediately, Vice President for Enrollment Management Brian Troyer announced today.
Prior to being appointed acting dean in July 2024, Schneider served as director of enrollment and marketing strategy in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
“Following a national search for the next dean of admissions, Andy emerged as the clear and strongest candidate for the role,” Troyer said. “He is well-equipped to help us achieve the critically important enrollment goals that have been outlined in the Marquette 2031 Strategic Plan and in our multi-year enrollment strategy. I look forward to our continued partnership on those efforts.”
“I am honored to officially step into the role of dean of admissions,” Schneider said. “After nearly two decades at Marquette, I am eager to continue advancing the university’s mission and strategic initiatives while fostering an inclusive, dynamic environment for both our admissions team and prospective students and families. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues, campus partners, alumni and others to further strengthen Marquette’s commitment to excellence in higher education.”
Schneider joined Marquette in August 2006 as an admissions counselor. Since then, he has held progressive leadership roles, including director of enrollment and marketing strategy; director of integrated marketing, communication and digital strategy; director of marketing and communication; and assistant dean of admissions. Over the past 19 years, Schneider has worked closely with all functional arms of the admissions team, including recruitment, visits and events, operations and systems, and marketing and communication.
Schneider has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Valparaiso University.
