As part of ongoing data collection efforts for Marquette’s Carnegie Classification re-application process, campus community members are invited to discuss their experiences with and ideas for community engagement during two separate sessions.
Two sessions will be held for faculty and staff in AMU 227, with light refreshments available:
- Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. to noon
Students are invited to attend a focus group session facilitated by Burke Scholars on Tuesday, Feb. 11, from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in AMU 157.
Interested participants should register online before their intended session. Community members who cannot attend a session in person but would still like to share feedback should complete this online form.
The Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement recognizes higher education institutions that successfully collaborate with public, private and nonprofit partners for mutual benefit. Marquette successfully earned this classification during the last application cycle in 2014, becoming one of 357 degree-granting institutions out of nearly 4,000 in the United States to merit the honor. The next cycle closes in April, with public announcements of new honorees set for January 2026.
