Beginning this fall, Marquette University will implement a periodic FERPA retraining requirement for all those campus partners who have access to student education records.
Periodic compliance retraining is now a common best practice across higher education and helps ensure employees remain current on student privacy responsibilities, institutional procedures and evolving regulatory expectations.
Through Marquette’s partnership with AACRAO, the updated FERPA training will be delivered in a modern, user-friendly format through D2L.
Retraining notifications, along with instructions, will be sent to your Marquette email with the subject “Notice of Required FERPA Training.” Campus partners who initially completed FERPA training more than three years ago can expect to receive this retraining notification in the coming days.
