AHPRC spring seminar series lineup announced 

The Athletic and Human Performance Research Center’s spring seminar series features four leading experts in health and human performance who will visit Marquette to present their research and network with students, faculty and staff. 

  • Thursday, February 6, at noon: “Changing Focus from Protein Mass to Proteostasis for Healthy Muscle Aging,” presented by Dr. Benjamin Miller from the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation  
  • Thursday, March 6, at noon: “Pushing the Limits: Human Performance Testing and Shoulder Health Surveillance of Wheelchair Athletes” presented by Dr. Matthew Hanks from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign  
  • Thursday, March 27, at noon: “Using Biomechanics and Gait Analysis to Inform Treatment of Children with Cerebral Palsy,” presented by Dr. Rachel Lenhart from the Medical College of Wisconsin 
  • Thursday, May 1, at noon: “Physiology of the Muscle Remaining After Injury: How Limited Is It?,” presented by Dr. Sarah Greising from the the University of Minnesota
