Join Soup with Substance on Wednesday, March 6, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in the AMU Lunda Room to hear reflections and information from students about challenges related to access to menstrual products, education and proper sanitary facilities.
Students involved with the Center for Peacemaking, Wellness Center, Public Health Telebrigades and Midnight Run will speak, including Rosie Stone, Sarah Anderson, Alex Hoppe, Patrick Carr, Julia Glassman and Mark Claerhout. The perspectives they will share range from international to Milwaukee, to campus.
All are welcome, and no RSVP is required.
Inspired by the “roundtable discussions” of Peter Maurin and the Catholic Worker Movement, Soup with Substance is a noontime presentation on an issue related to social justice over a simple meal of soup and bread. Each academic year Campus Ministry hosts nearly 30 Soup with Substance programs.
