Marquette University mourns the loss of Dr. Gerald Ziebert

Marquette University mourns the loss of Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Ziebert, former director of the School of Dentistry’s Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics.

Jerry spent over 55 years at Marquette, ensuring graduates were rigorously trained to the profession’s highest standards. He retired in June of 2017. A two-time Marquette graduate, Jerry was honored with the School of Dentistry’s Distinguished Alumnus in Dentistry Award in 2018.

“I’ve never had a day where I did not look forward to coming to the Dental School,” Jerry said upon receiving that honor. “Being in the academic environment is very stimulating. My career as a dentist and educator has provided me with so much satisfaction.”

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 7, at 9:30 a.m., with the funeral to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Congregation in Wauwatosa (1500 N. Wauwatosa Ave.).

Please remember Jerry, his family and friends in prayer.
