
The Evan P. and Marion Helfaer Theatre will host “Mud Row,” as part of the MKE Black Theatre Festival Aug. 10-27.
Mud Row, written by Dominique Morisseau and directed by Marti Gobel, follows two generations of sisters in the East End of West Chester, Pennsylvania, working through themes of race, class, love, loss and family to break and bend generational patterns set before them.
The show will run:
- Aug. 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 at 7:30 p.m.
- Aug. 13, 20, 27 at 2 p.m.
The MKE Black Theatre Festival is a three-week-long celebration of Black arts and culture. The event features ticketed and free events including two full productions, a play development workshop, an audition masterclass, Black Nativity by Langston Hughes Auditions, Reflections on Black History with Everett Marshburn, Poetry Set with Cedric and Jamine and more.
