The Center for Teaching and Learning will host “Compassion and Kinship: The Vocation of the Educator in Time of Crisis” on Thursday, Jan. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon via Microsoft Teams.
The session will be lead by Rev. Greg Boyle, S.J., founder and director of “Homeboy Industries,” the world’s largest gang-intervention and rehabilitation program. Father Boyle will lead a reflection on the role of instructors during this time of COVID-19, health and economic instability, racial inequity and campus budget decisions.
Register online. Each registered participant will receive a free copy of Barking to the Choir: The Power of Radical Kinship.
