Cobeen Hall to become co-ed beginning in fall 2020

February 27, 2020

In response to student feedback collected by the Office of Residence Life, Cobeen Hall will become co-ed by floor beginning with the 2020-21 academic year. This change responds directly to student feedback and will open Cobeen Hall to a new population of students. Demand for Cobeen – which is currently an all-female residence hall – has declined consistently over the past five years. Survey feedback from students who have lived in Cobeen shows that they would have preferred a co-ed residence hall experience.

In partnership with the College of Nursing, beginning fall 2020 the Nursing Living Learning Community will relocate from Cobeen Hall to Carpenter Tower.  This will allow male nursing students to participate.
