Dr. Chris Marshall, associate professor of biological sciences in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, will present the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences’ colloquium on Friday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. in Cudahy Hall 401.
Biofilms shape how microbes adapt, survive and evolve. Marshall’s talk, “Adaptations in Biofilms: From Clinics to Climate Change” will discuss how experimental evolution and bioinformatics can be used to study bacterial adaptation and antibiotic resistance in environmental and clinical contexts.
