Marketing Toolkit and templates, AI guidance available for marketing and communication needs

As artificial intelligence tools become increasingly common in daily work, faculty and staff are encouraged to use the Office of Marketing and Communication’s Marketing Toolkit when creating marketing and communication materials. The toolkit includes approved logos, photography, poster and one-page templates, and brand guidance that help ensure a consistent and recognizable Marquette identity across university communications.

AI can be a valuable tool for brainstorming and editing content. However, the growing use of AI-generated flyers, graphics and other materials presents challenges for maintaining a strong and consistent university brand. Materials created outside established brand standards can weaken the consistency of Marquette’s visual identity, unintentionally misrepresent the university, and increase the potential for criticism or reputational harm. There are also potential issues with licensing and trademarks.

Additional guidance on the responsible use of AI in marketing and communication is available on Marquette’s AI website. OMC will continue to update these resources as AI technologies evolve.
