Winter Wear Drive for graduate students

Help make the winter months a little warmer for Marquette graduate and professional students by giving new life to winter gear you no longer use—or contribute an item from our Winter Wear Drive Amazon Wishlist.

Do you have a winter coat in your closet that you no longer wear? Or perhaps new or gently used scarves, hats or gloves? Consider donating them to the 2026 Winter Wear Drive for graduate students.

The drive runs Monday, October 5 through Monday, November 16, 2026.

Where to donate winter items?

New or gently worn winter items can be dropped off on the first floor of Zilber Hall. A collection bin will be located adjacent to the information desk, in front of the elevators.

Donations may also be made through the Winter Wear Drive for graduate students Amazon Wishlist. Donations will be sent to the Graduate School.

See the impact of last year’s Winter Wear Drive

Last year, the Winter Wear Drive provided 91 coats, 8 vests, 50 hats, 10 scarves, and 78 pairs of gloves to students in need.

How to pick-up items from the Winter Wear Drive?

Graduate and professional students are invited to select winter gear from the collection on Wednesday Nov. 18, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Zilber Hall, room 025.

Hot cocoa and tea will also be available as we welcome students and prepare together for the winter months ahead.

Any winter gear remaining after the event will be donated to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, extending the impact of the drive to our broader Milwaukee community.

Whether you clean out a closet or contribute a new winter essential, your participation is one small way to Be The Difference for someone this winter.
