Marquette Business has named Kristin Nines as the assistant dean of partnerships, planning and administration. In this role, Nines supports strategic planning, external partnerships and administrative operations that advance the college’s academic and organizational priorities.
“Kristin has been a growing force, strengthening the vital connections that intertwine Marquette Business with industry and community partners,” says Andrew DeGuire, Keyes Dean of the College of Business Administration. “This position funnels her skills and passions to advance the impact of the college. I’m excited to welcome Kristin to this updated and expanded role and look forward to seeing how she amplifies the college’s strategic partnerships in this new capacity.”
Nines joined Marquette Business in 2013, serving as the director of academic business affairs. Through this promotion, Nines will lead the new Marquette Business Partner Program and manage the implementation of the college’s strategic plan as well as retain a number of her existing operational and administrative responsibilities.
Prior to joining Marquette, Nines spent 13 years at the Medical College of Wisconsin supporting the Department of Biophysics and the Center for Imaging Research in administrative capacities. Before pivoting her career to higher education, Nines served as a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in both Madison and Milwaukee.
Nines earned her bachelor’s degree in atmospheric and oceanic sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Nines resides in Waukesha with her husband Peter, where they’ve lived for 30 years. They have one daughter, Alex, who graduated in May with a degree in engineering.
