Monday, Dec. 8, is the Solemn Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The feast celebrates the belief that Mary, by a singular grace granted by God and in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, was preserved from all stain of original sin, as defined by Pope Pius IX in Ineffabilis Deus in 1854.
It is also the patronal feast of the United States.
Campus Ministry invites the community to celebrate. Mass will be held at 7:30 a.m., noon and 9 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Family. All are welcome.
