Marquette Invitational: a business model pitch competition, Nov. 13

The second annual Marquette Invitational will be held on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. in O’Brien Hall 150.

The Marquette Invitational is a business model pitch competition supported by the Coleman Funds and the College of Business’ Entrepreneurship program and delivered by the 707 Hub of the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship at Marquette University. The competition brings together top student entrepreneurs from Marquette, Milwaukee School of Engineering, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Lakeland University and Lawrence University.

Each invited institution nominates two student representatives, or founder teams, to compete. Participants have engaged in business model and pitch coaching before the contest date. During the evening of Nov. 13, each student — or team of two — will deliver a five-minute pitch, followed by a structured Q&A session. The competition offers non-dilutive, cash prizes to the top five performers and serves as a platform to showcase innovative ideas, foster cross-campus collaboration and celebrate student entrepreneurship. Additionally, a “Rising Star” will be awarded by the MKE Tech Hub to join its incubator program, FOR-M.

This event is open to faculty, staff and students.
