Marquette and Kohler Company have again partnered for the M-Prize Challenge, a pitch competition for Marquette students. This year’s theme is “Believing in Better: Sustainable Living with Kohler Co.,” challenging students to develop and pitch their own unique solutions to water, sanitation and hygiene deficiencies in displaced communities.
The M-Prize Challenge is modeled after Kohler Company’s Good I-Prize competition, which since 2018 has invited over 40,000+ associates around the world to propose revolutionary innovations and solutions for pressing global social and environmental issues. Following a “Shark Tank-style” format, teams develop and pitch viable business ideas to a team of executive judges for the chance to win incubation funding and for their idea to advance into the I-Prize incubator for further iteration the following year.
Any Marquette undergraduate student can participate, with no design experience required. The M-Prize Challenge provides the opportunity to build your resume by developing skills employers seek: self-development, critical thinking, problem solving and teamwork.
The competition will last from Tuesday, Oct. 15, through Tuesday, Nov. 19, and includes a mandatory visit to Kohler on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
Apply online by Friday, Oct. 11. Applicants will be placed on teams for the event.
