Marquette invites all students, faculty and staff to participate in programs to celebrate Women’s History Month throughout March.
Following are the events as of March 8:
- Institute for Women’s Leadership Gala
- Thursday, March 7 | 5 p.m. in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms
- This year’s event celebrates the theme “Unapologetically You! Leading With Your Best Self and Unapologetically Operating in YOUR Power.”
- Black Women Rock Brunch
- Sunday, March 17 | Noon to 3 p.m. in the AMU Monaghan Ballroom
- Come together to honor the strength, resilience, and achievements of Black women. This empowering event is a platform to recognize their contributions and uplift their voices. It will also be highlighting Black-owned businesses. RSVP online.
- Lavender Haze: LQBTQ+ Community, Womynhood and Florals Exhibit
- Monday, March 18 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second floor of the AMU
- Denim Drive: Collecting denim for the Denim Day Fashion Show
- Tuesday, March 19 | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in AMU 140
- Sociologists for Women in Society – History of Women at MU
- Wednesday, March 20 | Noon in AMU 227
- Femme and Womyn leaders headshots
- Thursday, March 21 | Noon to 3 p.m. in the Career Center
- Femme and Womyn Leaders Headshots – March 21st- Career Center
- Need a headshot for your professional website, portfolio or business? Take advantage of this opportunity hosted by the Career Center team to take your professional photos for free. There will be a group walking over to the Career Center for photos from the Center for Engagement and Inclusion (AMU 140) at noon and another group walking from the LGBTQ+ Resource Center (AMU 111) at 2 p.m. if you want to walk over with a group.
