Dear Marquette University Community,
It is with a hopeful heart that I wish you Christmas blessings.
For unto us, a child is born on this day in the city of David. A Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign to you; You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Mary said yes to bearing the Messiah, the Christ Child, and the world was changed. This inspires us to say our own yes, to answer God’s call to love and serve, and to lead us to a deeper faith.
As we close of 2023, may you have time to rest and know that you are loved by God.
On behalf of the Division of Mission and Ministry, Merry Christmas! And we look forward to seeing you back “home” at Marquette in the new year!
Rev. John Thiede, S.J.
Vice President for Mission and Ministry
