Marquette’s Family Weekend 2023 will run Friday, Sept. 29, through Oct. 1, aligned with this year’s Homecoming festivities. Family Weekend is held each fall for parents and families to connect with their students, Marquette and the city of Milwaukee.
Events are open to all family members of Marquette students. Family Weekend includes many types of activities that allow you to explore Marquette and Milwaukee. You can decide if you’d like to explore the campus scene, venture out for fun in the city, or a little of both.
Schedule of Events
For a full schedule of events for Family Weekend, visit the New Student and Family Programs webpage and download the Marquette Guidebook app. The Marquette Guidebook app can be downloaded to your phone by going directly to the Apple Store or Google Play Store and searching for Marquette Guide.
Excursions
Milwaukee excursions will happen all throughout Family Weekend. Families are invited to sign up for one or multiple. Tickets can be purchased through the Marquette Guidebook app under the “Ticket Links” tab. Ticket sales will begin on Thursday, Sept. 7, at noon CST and conclude Friday, Sept. 28, at 9 p.m. No refunds, exchanges or transfers will be issued for Family Weekend 2023 tickets. Parking
On-campus parking is free for Family Weekend guests, in both visitor parking structures. Please visit this link for parking locations.
Lodging
On-campus lodging is not available to family members during Family Weekend. Please see the Visit Marquette webpage for a listing of area hotels.
Is your student planning to host a sibling overnight for Family Weekend? If they are under 18, please note that parental consent is required. You can find the form here. The form needs to be turned in advance of students staying in the hall. If your student has any questions about the process, please encourage them to reach out to their building’s residence hall director.
Homecoming
Marquette Homecoming will take place during the week leading up to Family Weekend. Check out the Homecoming events happening Saturday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Oct. 1, on the MU Homecoming webpage.
