Take part in National Transfer Student Week with events on campus

National Transfer Student Week, held Oct. 19 to 23, is an annual movement that celebrates transfer students and the supporters who champion their success. Transfer support staff across campus collaborate to create events that build awareness, foster belonging and demonstrate commitment to a welcoming and inclusive transfer culture at Marquette.

Below is the schedule of National Transfer Student Week events on campus, each open to all transfer students:

Friday, Oct. 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Johnston Hall: Friday Night Flick Study Break

Join for a Friday afternoon movie break in Johnston Hall’s screening room (134). Grab some popcorn and enjoy the fall classic “Coraline” alongside the COMM Coaches (current COMM students from a variety of majors).

Monday, Oct. 19, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Lemonis Center for Student Success: Transplants: Rooted and Thriving at Marquette

Have fun with this DIY craft activity. Design your own flowerpot and fill it with goodies, then design a colorful flower pen. In a separate bucket, add a seed of wisdom for future transfer students.

Wednesday, Oct.  21, from noon to 2 p.m. in O’Brien Hall: Before You Break … Drop By!

Stop by the Swift Student Center Room (111) for giveaways, resources and conversation before Fall Break. Students can also meet members of the Swift Student Center in O’Brien Hall and learn about upcoming opportunities.
