Flight for Life to bring medical helicopter to campus, Oct. 13

Flight For Life will bring one of its medical helicopters to campus on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The helicopter will land on the green space in front of the Alumni Memorial Union and north of O’Brien Hall.

Flight For Life is a Wisconsin-based critical care air medical transport program that provides rapid emergency transportation for patients experiencing serious illness or injury. Founded in 1984, the nonprofit organization operates medical helicopters and ground transport services across the state, connecting patients with specialized care when time is critical. Flight For Life crews, which include specially trained flight nurses and paramedics, respond to emergencies ranging from traumatic injuries to complex medical conditions, serving as a vital link between local communities and regional health care centers.

Flight for Life is visiting Marquette to help spotlight Marquette University Police Department’s student emergency medical services unit, a team comprising Marquette students that responds alongside MUPD officers on calls for service.
