Faculty and staff are invited to take part in the inaugural Sunshine Walk on Thursday, Aug. 6, from noon to 1 p.m. The Sunshine Walk is a one-mile group walk along the Marquette Mile designed to encourage physical activity while raising awareness about the importance of protecting eye health. Participants will receive a complimentary pair of promotional sunglasses and a lens cloth, and will be entered for a chance to win a designer pair of sunglasses.
Light refreshments including popsicles from Pete’s Pops will be available for participants.
The walk will begin and end outside the Employee Wellness Center near Coughlin Hall. Faculty and staff are invited to enjoy time with colleagues while taking in the beauty of campus before the start of the academic year.
Participants can record attendance as a My Wellness Your Way Experience activity to earn 10 points for the My Wellness program, as well as record the activity in the ongoing Digital Detox Challenge.
