To celebrate what is best about Marquette — our people — Marquette Today this semester will roll out three new feature series to highlight the work and personalities of faculty and staff. And we need your help!
Marquette Today seeks story ideas for the following three features, which will run regularly throughout the academic year:
Faculty Focus
Do you know a faculty member who is engaging students in particularly unique or innovative ways in the classroom or lab? What stories do you have of colleagues who’ve gone above and beyond to help a student achieve their goals? We want to hear all about how our world-class teacher-scholars are being the difference.
Staff Spotlight
Staff are often behind-the-scenes innovators, improving both the academic and operational areas of the university. Help us shine a light on those who have developed and/or helped launch new initiatives to propel the university forward or who have demonstrated cura personalis in action through interactions with colleagues and students alike.
After Hours
Our faculty and staff have lives outside of campus, and so many of you lend your time and talents to creative pursuits away from Marquette. Let’s hear about your hobbies, avocations, and even your side hustles!
Please submit your ideas to Marquette Today via this online form. And don’t be shy — self-nominations are welcome and encouraged!
There are several other ways to have your events, accomplishments, writings and news items shared with the Marquette community:
- Complete the Marquette Today form to share upcoming events, news and accomplishments.
- Submit your recently published book for a behind-the-scenes Q&A as part of Marquette Bookshelf.
- Faculty who have published a paper or article in any academic journal or publication can submit their paper for promotion in a monthly report or other channels.
- The Office of Marketing and Communication is always looking to tell the stories of students who are achieving great things.
