The upper church of the Church of the Gesu has reopened following renovation and restoration work.
The updated schedule is as follows:
Monday through Friday:
- Mass at 7 a.m. (lower church), 12:05 p.m. (upper church) and 5:30 p.m. (lower church)
- Confessions from 11:30 a.m. to noon and 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the lower church
Saturday:
- Vigil Mass at 5:30 p.m. (lower church)
Sunday
- Mass at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the upper church
Church of the Gesu open during the day
The Church of the Gesu is now open throughout the day, providing an opportunity for those interested to visit in quiet moments.
Marquette University Police Department assists with opening the space from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. Weekend hours are 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Gesu Parish is home to many important Marquette events, including the Mass of the Holy Spirit, Family Liturgy and the Commencement exercises of Marquette’s professional schools, in addition to regular Masses attended by members of the Marquette community. Learn more on the Gesu Parish website.
