Dr. Mitra Sadrameli, adjunct associate professor in the School of Dentistry, was recently chosen as president-elect of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (AAOMR).
In early August, Sadrameli was appointed by the AAOMR to chair a pivotal committee tasked with drafting bylaws, organizational framework, and the Policy & Procedure Manual for the American Certifying Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (ACBOMR), a landmark initiative that will culminate in the establishment and operation of the official certifying authority for oral and maxillofacial radiology.
In September, Sadrameli received word of her appointment as president-elect of the AAOMR; she will serve as president for the 2026-27 term. Also that month, she joined Marquette’s part-time faculty to teach a post-doctoral course in Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).
“With a background rooted in private practice and a career enriched by decades of national and international lecturing, scholarly publications and leadership, I remain committed to elevating our specialty,” Sadrameli says. “As I reflect on these milestones, I remain profoundly grateful for the trust and support of my colleagues and peers.”
In addition to her work with the AAOMR, Sadrameli has served on numerous commissions and committees of the American Dental Association and currently serves on the Code on Dental Procedures and Nomenclature (CDT Code) Commission, a vital body responsible for reviewing, creating and refining the CDT dental codes used across the profession.
