The Faber Center for Ignatian Spirituality will host a Black faculty and staff lunch and reflection on Friday, Oct. 10, from 11:55 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Wellness + Helfaer Recreation facility Multipurpose Room 326. The event offers an opportunity to connect with colleagues and friends and celebrate the beauty and depth of shared belonging, heritage and Ubuntu.
All are welcome to attend.
Two distinguished guests will guide attendees through a time of reflection and renewal:
- Venice R. Williams, executive director of Alice’s Garden Urban Farm and the Fondy Food Center, will lead a meditation focused on healing, offering a moment of peace and grounding.
- Angela Mallett, owner of HoneyBee Sage Wellness & Apothecary, will host a tea and talk session and share insights on the art and science of tea, balance and holistic wellness.
Lunch and reflection will be led by Sheena Carey, internship coordinator and lecturer in the Diederich College of Communication, and Edith Hudson, chief of the Marquette University Police Department.
Healing items available for purchase
As an extension of their mission, the guest speakers will offer a curated selection of products for purchase. Attendees are invited to browse and purchase unique items that support wellness and balance.
The gathering aims to provide a restorative space for connection and celebration.
