A historic year: Marquette achieves record fundraising results

The Marquette University Advancement team raised $159.3 million in new gifts and confirmed pledges — the largest fundraising total in Marquette’s 144-year history. The results come just one year removed from the successful Time to Rise campaign.

“Whether you made your first gift this year or have supported Marquette faithfully for decades, each gift matters,” said Vice President for University Advancement Tim McMahon. “Together, we continue to foster a culture of philanthropy that is an important catalyst for the momentum our university is enjoying right now.”

The historic year, marked by the university’s inauguration of President Kimo Ah Yun, carried forward the legacy of late President Michael R. Lovell by establishing the Lovell Scholars — the university’s first-ever national presidential scholarship program.

Undergraduate alumni giving matched its prior record of 20% participation and Annual Fund support hit an all-time high at $18.7 million.
