Marquette basketball alumni Dwyane Wade and Travis Diener are competing for a third year in Wade vs. Diener: Where Hoops and Hope Collide. Proceeds from the multi-day event support three Marquette initiatives:
- The Wade Scholars, empowering the next generation of leaders with scholarships, mentorship and opportunities to make a real difference
- The Tragil-Wade Johnson Summer Reading Program, fostering a love of reading in young children, opening doors to a brighter future filled with possibilities
- Construction of a new practice facility for Marquette basketball, where student-athletes can train, grow and inspire
This year’s event will take place on Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28. On June 27, Wade and Diener will participate in a golf outing and lunch at Hidden Glen Golf Course in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, and a Champions for Literacy Celebration at Garage at the Harley Davidson Museum. On June 28, the pair will coach an exclusive camp for youth girls and boys in Mequon, Wisconsin.
