Faculty reflections on advising students and what’s coming next, April 14

Though advising is still ongoing for many across campus, formal advising has mostly wrapped up, with students registering for spring classes. This reflection session, hosted by the Center for Teaching and Learning and Undergraduate Advising, offers an opportunity to convene as faculty to discuss advising on Monday, April 14, from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. via Teams. Register online

Faculty advisors and any interested faculty should come to this joint CTL and Undergraduate Advising session to:

  • Debrief as faculty about advising this semester, including sharing patterns, trends, challenges and opportunities experienced in your classrooms and/or as advisors
  • Get a sneak peek of a new and upcoming advising platform to support faculty efforts around advising
  • Learn effective tips and strategies for managing advising next semester

The session will be facilitated by Nicolle Skoien, associate director of Undergraduate Advising, and Melissa Shew, associate director of teaching excellence.
