The Marquette women’s volleyball team will match up with fifth-seeded Utah in the second round of the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship on Friday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. in Salt Lake City.

The Golden Eagles advanced Thursday with a three-set sweep of Florida Gulf Coast University. Outside hitters Aubrey Hamilton and Natalie Ring led Marquette with 14 and 11 kills, respectively, while setter Yadhira Anchante notched her team-best 21st double double of the season with 39 assists and 16 digs.
The win was the Golden Eagles’ 10th all-time in NCAA Tournament action and the team’s fourth in the last three years, marking a program-best over such a stretch.
