- Concealed Language: A Plea for Help
- Friday, Sept. 27 | 5 p.m. at the Haggerty Museum of Art
- This concert by the Marquette University Chorus was inspired by the Haggerty’s exhibition “SOS Color Code 2024,” an indoor and outdoor installation composed of flags and changing colored lights based on the dots and dashes of Morse code. The installation transforms the international SOS signal of distress into a sign of solidarity and connectedness and asks its viewer to reconsider how language, symbols and color can help us find stability and safety in an uncertain world. Following similar themes, Concealed Language: A Plea for Help explores the emotive power of choral music and the hidden language within the featured compositions.
- LOVELLSTRONG Legacy Run
- Saturday, Sept. 28 | Begins at 9 a.m. on Eckstein Common (east side of the AMU)
- Don your blue and gold to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Michael R. Lovell, Marquette’s 24th president. The 2.4-mile route takes participants through central campus to Valley Fields and back, a familiar route for President Lovell, who built community by running with Marquette students, faculty and staff. Advance registration is appreciated but not required. Those interested in participating can register online or during the check-in process on the day of the walk/run.
- Pancake feed
- Saturday, Sept. 28 | 9:15 a.m. on Eckstein Common (east side of the AMU)
- Join the Campus Activities Board for breakfast as they welcome families to campus. Food will be served at 9:15 a.m. and available while supplies last. The event will be moved to the AMU’s Marquette Place in the event of rain.
- Annual Family Weekend Mass
- Sunday, Sept. 29 | 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Gesu
