Marquette Collegiate Recovery Program offers support for those in recovery from substance use

The recently established Marquette Collegiate Recovery Program offers on-campus support and programming in a peer-based setting for Marquette students in recovery from substance use concerns.

Support includes:

  • Weekly recovery meetings for Marquette students
  • Monthly recovery meetings for Marquette students and the community at large
  • Recovery coaching and drop-in hours
  • Community-wide programming (events during Recovery Month, Recovery Day and Collegiate Recovery Week)
  • Program-specific events solely for students in recovery
  • Campus and community resource navigation to build recovery capital

This program is open to any Marquette student in recovery from substance use concerns. Recovery can be difficult to define, but common elements could include abstaining from drug and alcohol use, improving personal wellness and living a self-directed life.

Not sure if the program is for you? Students are welcome to come to a meeting anyway. There is no abstinence requirement. Those interested can also reach out and schedule to meet 1-on-1 with someone in recovery.

Upcoming events include:

  • Recovery at Marquette picnic social
    • Thursday, Sept. 26, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the 707 Hub and Henke Terrace
    • Join for free food and mocktails, recovery resources and giveaways
  • International Recovery Day Celebration
    • Monday, Sept. 30, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Lemonis Center for Student Success multipurpose room
    • Join for free food and mocktails as well as recovery stories, resources and giveaways
