Engineering students win international medical hackathon 

Thirteen undergraduates and three graduates of the Opus College of Engineering participated in the Society of Imaging and Informatics in Medicine Hackathon, presenting solutions to three real world problems on Saturday, June 29. 

Marquette’s teams finished first and fourth out of 14 teams from around the world, presenting: 

  • “FDA Adverse Drug Event Notification” 
  • “Liquid Biopsy / Immunotherapy Viability Testing” 
  • “QuickMed – bringing UpToDate directly into the EHR in a relevant manner”
