Volunteers are needed to serve as ushers and Eucharistic Ministers during funeral services for President Michael R. Lovell on Thursday, June 20. Please complete the online form by Wednesday, June 19, if interested in volunteering.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Church of the Gesu, with eulogies beginning at 1 p.m. Given limited capacity at Church of the Gesu, the funeral Mass will also be simulcast at the Al McGuire Center. The Eucharist will be made available to those in attendance at the Al McGuire Center.
The funeral Mass will also be livestreamed on the university website.
Campus Ministry will follow up with those willing to serve as ushers and/or Eucharistic Ministers at the Al McGuire Center. University Special Events will follow up with anyone willing to serve in other volunteer roles.
Please note that the norms of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee require that any communion minister be a baptized and confirmed Catholic; anyone can assist in other roles.
The campus community is additionally invited to pay their respects during a public visitation on June 20 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Church of the Gesu. Those interested in sharing a memory of President Lovell or condolences are invited to do so via Marquette Today.
