Technology updates associated with FAFSA simplification continue to cause delays in creating 2024-25 financial aid offers for returning students. The Office of Student Financial Aid is hopeful that financial aid offers will be made available in the coming weeks. Students should continue to monitor their Marquette student email for updates on when their financial aid offer will be available in CheckMarq.
Additionally, due to delays with the Department of Education system updates, universities will not be able to make corrections to FAFSA data until July. This will prevent the Office of Student Financial Aid from processing documents relating to verification, clarification of data or special circumstance appeals. Submitted documents will show as “received” in CheckMarq, but will not be processed until mid-July.
