The campus community has embodied this year’s mission theme, “en todo amar y servir” or “to love in serve in everything,” since it debuted at Mission Convocation last August.
This phrase comes from the Fourth Week of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius. When one realizes that the love of God permeates our created world, how might we respond? With a desire to bring love to the world: cultivating unconditional acceptance, working together to lift each other up, and showing everyone what it means to be loved.
As the academic year comes to a close, a few people spoke about what the theme meant to them and how they found themselves incorporating it into their lives.
