Shabbat is the Jewish day of rest, which happens each week from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday. Jewish people take this as a time of reflection and to spend time with family and friends. Jewish people celebrate Shabbat in many different ways.
Join as Marquette’s Jewish community shares its traditions and practices on campus to create joy.
The Jewish Student Union will explain what Shabbat is, what some of its traditions are and have a traditional Shabbat dinner.
