Volunteers needed for Baccalaureate Mass

President Lovell speaks to the congregation at Baccalaureate Mass 2023.

Volunteers are still needed to help at the 2024 Baccalaureate Mass, which will be held at the Al McGuire Center on Saturday, May 11, at 9 a.m.

Marquette is looking for:

  • Graduating students interested in being a lector/reader, Eucharistic minister, acolyte/altar server, cantor, singer or musician.
  • Any Students, alumni or faculty/staff interested in the following:
    • Singers and instrumentalists to lend their talents to those of the Liturgical Choir and Music Ministry Team.
    • Ushers to warmly welcome students and their families as they arrive for Mass, offer printed worship aids and help with the flow of communion.  After Mass, ushers help tidy their assigned section and elsewhere as needed. Time commitment is three and a half hours.

Those interested in participating should complete the appropriate online form, with one available for students and another for faculty/staff members. Please note that the norms of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee require that any communion minister be a baptized and confirmed Catholic; anyone can assist in other roles.
