Join Soup with Substance on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from noon to 12:50 p.m. in AMU 227 to hear learn about food, culture and soul. The event, co-hosted by the Center for Engagment and Inclusion and Campus Ministry, will focus on the Black community and how food plays a role in Black culture.
All are welcome, and no RSVP is required.
Inspired by the “roundtable discussions” of Peter Maurin and the Catholic Worker Movement, Soup with Substance is a noontime presentation on an issue related to social justice over a simple meal of soup and bread. Each academic year Campus Ministry hosts nearly 30 Soup with Substance programs.
