Peace, Violence, and the Highest Good: Kantian Perspectives on Morality and History, March 8

“Peace, Violence, and the Highest Good: Kantian Perspectives on Morality and History,” set for March 8, is one-day workshop featuring speakers from Marquette, UW–Milwaukee and Northwestern University. The event will explore the views of Immanuel Kant and the German Enlightenment on the moral demand for peace, expand on their implications and limitations, and relate them to some of the most pressing issues confronting us today — from actual conflicts to environmental protection, from human rights to racial justice.

This workshop is hosted by the Department of Philosophy in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences. All are welcome. For catering purposes, register before noon on Friday, Feb. 23.
